Valerie Scott is an Abstract Expressionist painter based in the Los Angeles area, having previously resided in San Francisco. Her work is heavily influenced by contemporary masters such as Jasper Johns, Francis Bacon, Lee Krasner, Richard Diebenkorn, Willem de Kooning, and Elaine de Kooning. These artists' works and philosophies have played a significant role in shaping Valerie's artistic style.

Valerie's creative process is constantly evolving, reflecting her life experiences. Her abstract paintings convey a range of emotions and offer insightful observations on the human experience. She skillfully communicates nuances through her use of color and texture. Valerie finds inspiration in the small wonders of daily life, which continually drive her to experiment with her artistic process and bring new works to completion.
